Tommi Musturi is een bezige bij in de Finse stripwereld. Hij is de samensteller van Glömp, een bekroonde seriële bloemlezing die een podium biedt aan voornamelijk Fins maar ook buitenlands talent. Er verschenen tien edities bij Musturi’s eigen label, Boing Being, waar hij ook CD’s en strips van eigen en andermans hand publiceert. Daarnaast is hij samen met Jelle Hugaerts uitgever bij Huuda Huuda.
Musturi’s eigen werk is bijzonder divers. Walking with Samuel (2009, Huuda Huuda) is een woordeloos verhaal over een spookachtig mannetje dat zich door verschillende plaatsen en gemoedstoestanden beweegt. The Books of Hope is een set van 5 boeken waarin een oud koppel terugblikt op hun leven. Twee delen verschenen reeds in het Engels bij Bries. Behalve strips publiceert Musturi nu en dan ook compilaties van zijn talrijke schetsen en prenten.
Tommi Musturi is a busy bee in the Finnish comic scene. He edits and publishes the prizewinning serial anthology Glömp. Ten editions appeared at Musturi’s own label, Boing Being. Together with Jelle Hugaerts he is also a publisher at Huuda Huuda.
Musturi’s own work is very diverse. Waking with Samuel (2009, Huuda Huuda) is a wordless story about a ghostly figure moving through different places and emotions. The Books of Hope is a set of 5 books in which an elderly couple looks back on their lives. Next to his comics, Musturi now and then also publishes compilations of the numerous sketches and pictures he produces.
